Anabel Bouza is a Cuban-born mixed media artist with a deep admiration for nature, folktales, and the intricate handiwork of bygone craftsmen.

Her creations are influenced by a love of Art-Nouveau, the candor of vintage storybooks, and the romance of decaying buildings and tree-takeovers; all trace elements of her childhood in surreal Havana.

She studied design in Cuba, and at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, before turning her focus to paper art and illustration.

Her time is spent cutting and shaping paper, in an attempt to explore its contrasting virtues: fragility & resilience.

Her studio is located in Lambertville, New Jersey.
